Peter Warlock (1894-1930)
Bio
Philip Arnold Heseltine was born in London. He studied at Eton College and developed something of an obsession with Delius while there. He studied further in Cologne and Oxford and began publishing music criticism articles while a student. He took the pseudonym of Peter Warlock due in some part to his interest in the occult. He composed a small number of songs but made most of his impact in the critical world.
