Carl Maria von Weber (1786-1826)
Bio
Carl Maria Friedrich Ernst von Weber was born in the Prince-Bishopric of Lübeck. Weber studied with Michael Haydn and Abbé Vogler. Fellow student Giacomo Meyerbeer and Weber were friends. He successfully operated several Opera houses, served in several courts, and went on a few European tours. He was a concert pianist and successful composer of the early Romantic period.
