John Wilbye (1574-1638)
Bio
John Wilbye was born in Suffolk. He served in Hengrave Hall where Elizabeth Kitson and her husband funded several musical artists including the composer Edward Johnson. He is fondly remembered for a collection of madrigals that survive from his time at Hengrave.
