Bio
Anton Friedrich Wilhelm von Webern was born in Vienna. He studied musicology and art history at the University of Vienna. He began studying under Schoenberg in his 20s and met fellow student Alban Berg. They would be his primary influences musically. He was ostracized for his political beliefs and his music is respected but considered dense and inaccessible.
