Camille Saint-Saëns (1835-1921)


Bio

Charles-Camille Saint-Saëns was born in Paris. He was a child prodigy, giving concerts as a 10-year-old on the piano. He studied at the Paris Conservatoire under Daniel Auber. He worked as an organist in several prominent French churches and as a teacher at the École de Musique Classique et Religieuse in Paris. Alongside Bizet and Berlioz, one of the greatest French Romantics.
