Guy Ropartz (1864-1955)
Bio
Joseph Guy Ropartz was born in Brittany. He studied at the Conservatoire de Paris under Dubois, Massenet, and later Franck. He was good friends with Georges Enesco. He was very politically active and much of his composing reflected his support of the Breton cultural renaissance.
