Bernard Rogers (1893-1968)
Bio
Bernard Rogers was born in New York City. He studied with Bloch, Boulanger, and others before taking teaching posts at the Cleveland Institute of Music, the Hartt School, and the Eastman School of Music. He composed a fair-sized catalog but is most known for his influence on a generation of composers including David Diamond, Howard Hanson, and many others.
