Rodion Shchedrin (b. 1932)
Bio
Rodion Konstantinovich Shchedrin was born in Moscow. His father was also a composer and taught theory. Rodion studied at the Moscow Conservatory and has been a successful composer and concert pianist for several decades. His wife, ballerina Maya Pilsetskaya, died in 2015 after their 57 years of marriage together.
