Eric Coates (1886-1957)


Bio

Coates studied at the Royal Academy of Music under Corder and Tertis and developed into a concert Violist. He focused much of his career on orchestral composition and traveled as a conductor. During World War II, he composed songs supporting the effort and his wife's work with the Red Cross.
