Georges Auric (1899-1983)

Bio

Frenchman who became the leader of "Les Six" a group of composers known for their lively compositions based in Montserrat. Was an active music critic at the publishing of the dictionary. Directed the Paris Opera House for several years and wrote a large sampling of operas, ballets, sonatas, film scores, and incidentals.
